| Tanduay's
bottling plants are divided into three general
areas (1)storage and compounding tanks for
blended and unblended alcohol, (2)the bottling
line, and (3)warehouse facilities to store
the finished product.
The
storage and compounding tanks are connected
to the bottling line by means of pipes.
The first stage of the bottling process
requires washing using a combination of
steam and strong detergents. The clean bottles
go through a meticulous visual inspection
to ensure their spotlessness. Then the clean
bottles pass through a machine that fills
the bottle with rhum. The contents are inspected
to make certain that no foreign particles
are in the product. A capping machine installs
the crown or cap and seals the bottle for
proper labeling. The bottles are then placed
into cartons and forwarded to the plant
warehouse through a conveyor belt system
for shipment.
